A 60-day journey circling the Land Down Under was terminated days after the death of an senior lady who was stranded by the vessel on a distant island.

The passenger had been trekking on the remote island with other travelers from the Coral Adventurer, but parted ways from the group for a rest. The liner sailed away leaving her and came back later that day after the crew became aware the lady was missing.

An extensive search operation discovered her remains the following day.

Officials are looking into the tragedy, together with police and the medical examiner.

Chief Executive of the shipping company announced that travelers and crew on the Coral Adventurer were notified that the remainder of the cruise had been cancelled due to the "unfortunate death and earlier engine troubles".
